    An Opportunity for Private Retreat

The Sisters of St. Casimir invite women who would like to spend some time in prayerful discernment and reflection on their life to come to the Motherhouse where they can share the Sisters' prayerful environment, especially the chapel in which Mother Maria herself prayed. The amount of time for the retreat may be from a few hours to an entire day.

Join Us

You may know Mother Maria as the foundress of the Sisters of St. Casimir. She was also a close friend of Jesus, reflecting His love to others. You may find her reaching out to you, inviting you to come closer to God. Ask Mother Maria to help you hear God's message in your life, for today she still speaks to our hearts.    

     The Sisters of Saint Casimir invite a new generation of women to share their lives of prayer, community and service. May those who are questioning their calling, find a place in their hearts to ponder Mother Maria's vision and spirit, and say "yes" to God acting in their lives!

 

 

Our Formation

Pre-entrance/Affiliate — 
a time of getting acquainted with our community and asking questions.

Postulancy —

one to two years living within community and participating in the daily life, prayer and ministry of the Sisters.

Novitiate — two years of a more intense study of religious life and discernment of vocation.

Temporary Profession — three to six years of living vowed commitment, integrating prayer, community, and ministry while sharing fully in the life of the community.

Perpetual Profession — a commitment to love, to serve, to share, and to grow in the promise to God that has been made for life.

Associate Program

    The Sisters of St. Casimir extend an invitation to those whose lives have been touched by the Sisters to become associates in their ministries. This invitation includes family members, friends, benefactors, co-workers, former members, priests, nurses, alumna/ae, those who staff their institutions and serve on their Boards.

Benefits of being a SSC Associate include:

Associates become the extended family of the Sisters;

Sharing their hospitality and friendship;

Participating in the Community's spiritual and social functions;

Being remembered by the Sisters in their prayers.

Ministry as an SSC Associate:

    Maintaining their own lifestyles, associates participate in furthering the mission of Jesus in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Casimir by:

Serving all who come within their influence.

Spreading the kingdom of God with justice and compassion.

Volunteering services within and outside the Community.

Participating in spiritual enrichment, community gatherings, forming a network of prayer for the needs of the Church, Community and the world.

Living Gospel values in spite of challenges.

Accepting the Community's symbol of the lily (purity), sword (courage), and crown (perseverance), as incentive for their daily lives.
