Motherhouse Employees Gather for Missioning, Service Awards

The SSC Motherhouse employees gathered together on Thursday, February 13, 2014, for their annual missioning and service awards.  At the beginning of the ceremony, Sister Regina Marie Dubickas, General Superior, addressed the employees gathered with these words of encouragement:  “We want you, the faithful Motherhouse employees, to know that you are connected to us in a special way by being here in this sacred place, our home for over 100 years.”

After the employees made a commitment as a group, each employee was called individually to make his/her personal commitment to his/her call to service at the Motherhouse.  All the sisters present then blessed the employees.

Distribution of service awards by department followed.  John Delaney, Chief Engineer, presented maintenance department awards to Kirk Forseth for 10 years and John Rohan for 5 years.  Kenny Palomino, Dietary Services Manager, presented dietary services department awards to Genovaite Juciene for 15 years and Donna Brooks for 5 years.  Margie Forseth, Infirmary Supervisor, presented infirmary department awards to Helen Williams for 20 years and Nijole Staukauskas for 5 years.

A celebration was held afterwards in the SSC dining room.
